We leave for Burning Man in 140 days.;
Which means it's time to start saving money for our trip. Something we have not been very good at in the last few weeks.
We followed our trip to Kingston and our trip to Montreal with a trip to wine country this weekend with _notanartist_ and Adam. As always, it was tons of fun, but not anywhere close to cheap. We came home with about 60 bottles of wine, including a few bottles from an excellent new find, The Organized Crime Winery". Not only do they make excellent wine, and have a really awesome name, but the lovely couple that own it are an absolute blast. Add in a new restaurant find (About Thyme Bistro, and our usual dinner at The Angel Inn, and it was an excellent day.
The weekend was rounded out by lunch, pool, and beer with Adam and Michelle on Friday, plus a very long walk with Milo in the rain, and a long day of nothing but baking (oatmeal raspberry muffins) and cooking (navy bean and ham soup) yesterday. It's been a very relaxing and very fun few days.
But between my purchase of new climbing equipment last week, the excessive wine purchasing, Darcy breaking his glasses yesterday and our front door lock breaking and needing to be replaced today, we are going to be several thousand dollars poorer by the end of the week.
