I'm back.
After nearly two weeks of unscheduled upheaval the office is once more in order. Mostly. Which is the usual state of my office anyway. I'm working again. With a backache from moving, stooping and cleaning for days on end; how is it that you can disassemble an office in four hours but it takes three days to get it reassembled? My favorite Moving Mystery: prior to the move I had all seven outlets filled in my UPS unit. No problems. Now, when I have all the outlets filled, it goes into overload. Nothing's changed as far as I can determine. Same stuff plugged in as before. Oh, the multifold condundra of this world.
Life is a boxcar loaded with Cassava melons headed for a cliff. In the end there's gonna be one hell of a crash but the shattered refuse will be edible. Colorful, too.
Not....really sure where I was headed with that analogy. Freud? Any suggestions? Shit, he's dead. Skinner? Kinney? Dr. Laura?
Winter looked like it was going to be quiet. I had enough work to get me through December with some free time on the side. As of last week, that got pitched out the window, for the best of all possible reasons. I will need to suck up to my friends and go into hermit mode from December to the end of January. At the end of this tunnel is Hollywood. Woo-fucking-ha, baby. Wish me luck on that front, if you feel so inclined.
Thank you, too, friendnesses, for your positive waves. Every lil' bit helped.
