Today? That last ship went down. I could take the time to determine what my hourly wage was by the end of it; then again, I could watch a film on the Holocaust. The effect would be about the same. And for a follow-up? Three episodes of the X-files, back to back, laying on the floor with a bellyfull of Burger King crap food.
It felt good.
Now I shall head to bed, finish up my book on Reserve Police Battalion 101 and do some brainstorming with the Beasts pinning down the blankets. Tomorrow and Sunday have already been declared Dog Adventure Days, since this weekend is when the house is open for the Remodeler's Show. I have no desire to put my kids through that. Nor do I have any interest in it myself. I will hie me to some barren spot bereft of people and let my pups run free.
To my kind readers: no Cakewalk update this Friday. I'll have the next installment up soon as I can manage. Digging for treasure seems to help me when I'm at a stuckpoint. I'm not precisely stuck at the moment, but I've got a clutter of ideas to clean up. Bear with me. I promise the wait won't be nearly as long as the last time.
I owe many people emails, phone calls and the like. Count on that happening soon. Honest. Really! I swear to Vishnu!
Let me leave you with this link, thanks be to
bluesmancd for pointing me there:
http://www.kiddofspeed.com/default.htm Spooky, sad, inspirational, creepy, and nifty, with a side dish of radiation poisoning. Give the site a thurough going-over, it's worth your time.
'night, all.
Edit: by 2am, things were not so good. Twice is more than enough. I get it, I get it, I get it, dear colon. No more fast food for Berby.
