It's been awhile, since I could.....

I haven't really had much time in the past year to post anything and to be quite honest could really have cared less to be in here. I was far too busy with school and the Patriot Guard Riders to care.

I will finally go through graduation ceremonies next month, graduating with honors (on my b-day mind you). It has been a long hard tow and I wish I would have done it sooner than this but, it has brought around a business plan that I may open my own business.

The Patriot Guard Riders is something that was necessary... It is one way to honor those military men and women who put their lives on the line for us each and every day. For those who are scratching their heads and wondering what exactly is the Patriot Guard; let me try to explain. It was brought about by the idiocy of individuals in Kansas who thought that it was appropriate to show up at the cemetery of soldiers and protest. These individuals protest by chanting to the families of these "HEROES"; stating that their child deserved this because of the military's lax view on gays in the military. This is UNACCEPTABLE and INEXCUSABLE behavior, protected or not.

The Patriot Guard Riders only attend funerals or welcome home events in which the family invites us. This allows us to line up our motorcycles and form a line of honor. We will also escort the body and families to and from the airports or cemetaries if requested, flying flags from the back of our bikes. Yes, protesters do have the right to voice themselves but, we also, being invited by the family have the right to line ourselves just inside of the legal distance that a protester has and rev our engines and chant USA to block out their protest. This is accomplished in a legal non-violent way. They have the right to yell, use bull horns and loose their voices, however, they will not be heard over the 100s of bikes that attend these funeral services.

I know, I took off on a rant. One word of caution.... I don't care what your views are on the war. I don't care what your politics may be but, do NOT disrespect the price these young men and women pay so that you can have your freedoms.

Lastly, It is becoming warm again and the biker rallies are beginning. I will be attending two rallies in Texas, one in New Mexico and of course Sturgis Bike Week in Sturgis, S.D.
