Exactly one year ago at this moment I was in the hospital. I had been a little careless when approaching a hill at OCC on my longboard. About 1 year and 50 minutes ago I was giggling with Andrew Kallicragas about how my head hurt and waiting for Dan/sarah/lisa to come pick us up. About 1 year and 1 hour ago I lost control of my longboard while travelling at about 30 mph, striking my head and right shoulder on the concrete. About 1 year and 1.5 hours ago I decided it would be a good idea to go longboarding at night while wearing Keen sandals and sunglasses.
About 3 months and a week ago I was in the hospital again for surgery to fix the injury from that night. Then the anchor slipped. So now, as I write this, my shoulder is still injured and not 100%. After a year of "healing". I want to send a heartfelt thank you to the two doctors that have made this possible: Dr. Bookout and Dr. Schoch, I couldn't have made this speedy recovery without you guys.
