positive information obtained within the last 24 hours
  • 0400 hours: if our new development contract is signed, i get a raise. we expect the contract to be signed today
  • 1700 hours: all the plastic on my computer has been replaced, so it feels like a new machine. the loud noise the cpu is making should be avert when they install a new cpu on friday
negative information obtained within the last 24 hours
  • 1430 hours: the position at efi i was to interview for tomorrow has been filled. the interview has been canceled
  • 1600 hours: the mountaintop medical association at kirkwood will not concede that they overcharge me, and their collection agency is going to continue to try to collect $600 from me for a surgery that was never performed when i broke my wrist on the slopes, december 1, 2002 (i received a speeding ticket while driving home with a broken wrist). i expect this will end up in court. the nonexistent surgery, not that particular ticket. unfortunately
  • 1630 hours: my laptop's cpu always made a high pitched sound, but after having my motherboard replaced, it is much louder and more obnoxious. and it seems to signify its impending doom
  • 1700 hours: the cell phone i'd ordered is no longer in stock. the replacement module does not support analog, at least in the version offered by verizon, my future provider
  • 1730 hours: the contract was not signed today. we also have a previously unmentioned competitor for the contract. ergo we may not have an answer until sometime next week. ergo i may not even know if i'm to get a raise in the near future until sometime next week.
  • 2300 hours: despite replacing the the 15amp fuse with a 25amp fuse, the circuit controlling the rear lights and instrument panel lights in my car continues to short and the fuse blows. this happened after 20 minutes of use today. therefore i cannot legally drive at night. which puts a huge cramp in my productive/social/family life.
