Sure it's something new. Do they do it in Chicago? Or it is a Canada thing?

There are curling clubs in Chicago, yes. It's played all over the world, but it's certainly most popular in Canada. In truth I haven't often had occasion to play -- I was quite dedicated to hockey in my youth -- but I've always found it fascinating as a spectator.

I'll warn you, though, that it's not quite as fast-paced as most physical sports. And Ray calls it housework.

I love watching hockey but I can't stay up on ice skates so it's purely a spectator sport for me. *laughs* Now I'm even more curious about it.
