tracks, cuddles, and a hope for the future
so this week has been rather eventful.
a. i got to spend some unexpected time with my wonderful girlfriend. we've watched some movies eaten some food, and generally been a blissful and disgustingly happy couple. i sometimes wonder if i deserve the attentions of someone so incredible, smart, funny, supportive, and all-around lovely.
b. we've been in the studio with Enoch Jensen for the past couple of days tracking a 4 song demo to shop to labels, it's been frustrating, yet gratifying in the best way possible. i'm very happy to be taking this next step towards making a career out of music. a record label of medium repute (yet big on scene cred) asked us for a presskit the other day, which i am super-pleased about. tomorrow we wrap up the recording and Enoch takes our stuff back to LA to mix and master. Can't wait! we've re-recorded some older stuff and recorded new stuff as well... tracklisting includes bright vanity, yellow roses but i'm not sorry, message for a morning after, and tapdancing in anatomy. it sounds better than anything we've ever recorded before.
c. in closing, i spoke to a restaurant about employment today, i've got an interview this friday afternoon. everybody cross your fingers, pray, dance to your native gods, or do whatever it is you do when you hope someone succeeds at something.
