Laguardia <> Murder By Death <> Denali
denali was on friday.
mickey (
violentlymickey) rode with me down to atlanta for the show.
we met up with nathan and his friend and ended up meeting two more uber cool clemson kids (drew and zach) at the show.
we had a clemson caravan to waffle house afterwards which was great too.
it's always good to find and spend time with nice kids that enjoy similar things
(like cherry coke with extra cherry syrup).
---------------
laguardia was kind of catchy.
there was something about the drumming that i really liked.
it wasn't even that technical or anything. it was just... good.
murder by death was as dark as always.
-"our album is about the devil getting shot in a bar in mexico
and how he decides to wipe out humanity because of it."
-"this next song is about what pretty much all our songs are about; whiskey and dying."
-"yeah, this is our 'medley of evil'. enjoy."
<3 for the medley of evil.
denali was great, even without 1/2 of engine down.
if you ever get a chance to see them, do it.
there is something about their rhythm section matched with her voice that is incredible.
i love how the parts of that band make such a full sound. sigh.
----------------
i did loadout crew from 10:30pm - 5:30am for brooks and dunn saturday.
right after they got offstage they walked by and told us not to listen to a word the tour manager said.
it was pretty funny. i thought it spoke well of them that as massively popular
as they are that they joked around with and thanked the local crew.
anyway, just remember:
