Normally when it's breakfast time I'll just pour a bowl of cereal and be done with it -- quick, easy, and relatively simple to avoid burning down my kitchen. After visiting my grandmother though I've been putting some more effort over the stove: during this last week I've made crepes, a cheese omelete,
eggies in a basket, pancakes, and grits (ok, so grits technically count as cereal... It's not exactly a bowl of cornflakes either). Not sure what I'll cook up tomorrow morning, but I've got some cookbooks with plenty of choices in them: maybe french toast?
Figured I'll also try to play with some of these dessert recipes my grandmother supplied me with while I was in Israel. I can either try to make some strudel, sachertorte, or maybe her apple pie recipe which I've made before (I actually have a hankerin' to make her plum cake recipe, but plums are out of season right now).
Fun behind the oven, aw yeah!
