Its been a while. I have a lot to write.

South Korea has been amazing. I'm sorry I haven't been writing more, and I'm sure I would have more to say if I wrote more, but honestly, livejournal really isn't on my mind all that much, which I think is kind of a good thing.

I'll start with where I left off last time: We had a party on the fourth of July on the roof of our apartment. We ordered pizzas and bought large quantities of beer and soju. All in all there were probably about 20 people on the roof. For the first part of the party there were even some of the Korean teachers there which is cool, because it is kind of hard to get them to hang out with us. Andy brought his guitar and Jason had his guitar. We sang several songs, or at least we tried to. I'm usually really good at the chorus, but without lyrics in front of me, I'm not to great at singing random songs I haven't heard in a while. One that we were actually doing really well at though was "Don't Look Back in Anger" by Oasis. We only had the security guard break up our party once, and we just moved from one roof of the building to another roof, and he didn't bother us again. We were all just shooting the shit and singing and drinking and drinking and drinking until the sun rose. I had a really good time.

I've had a few cool trips since I got here. I went to Boreyong with a lot of people from my school for the mud festival. I was expecting it to be kind of ridiculous and spring breakish, but I still had a good time. Again, I drank a lot, and I had a good time hanging out on the beach with my friends. I spent a lot of time hanging out with Candace which was pretty cool. The only shitty thing about the vacation was that I got really sunburned, which was totally my fault, because I didn't wear sunscreen, but overall it was a good time. I even met some other random people on the beach who were from Georgia. Its a small world.

I just went to Haenam yesterday with Brad Jason and Dan. Its another beach, but this one was much different from Boreyong. It was much a much smaller beach and in a different part of the country. We roomed in this guest house we rented from this crazy lady, who was really nice, but she couldn't speak any English and she kept on getting concerned that we were drinking. She also bought us lunch the next morning which was cool, but she made me very uncomfortable, because she kept coming over and correcting us on how we were eating the food. At one point she was actually hand feeding us. It was a surreal moment.

Teaching has been pretty cool. I like most of my classes, though some of those kids are little shits. I just finished up the first session a few days ago, and we're starting a new session after a few days break. For this next session I'm actually doing something called intensives which involves me teaching from 930 in the morning to 10 in the evening on MWF and 930 to about 7 on Tuesday and Thursday. It should be hell, but I'll be getting about 700 dollars in overtime, so it should all be good.

I'm about to head out to go eat lunch. I have lots more to say. Perhaps I'll update again later.
