came back from teh first part of the run at work today, only to see an ambulance in the parking lot with all its rear doors open. I furrowed my brow, especially as I saw the paramedics bringing large black bags into the building.
I laughed hysterically when I realized that they were redeeming cans. was tempted to go look at the bags and say "if you want to redeem them, you'll have to go to some religious institution. We don't have a distributor that picks up corpses
Kinda not cool though, I mean... the inside of an ambulance is suppsosed to be mroe or less pleasant, if only just "clean". I know how nasty those bags can get sometimes... pretty disgusting. Oh well, I'll just refrain from doing anything stupid or crazy enough to require an ambulance to come to get me.
In the meantime, one of my coworkers gave me a really cool idea I might try this weekend. It's supposed to be cold and windy this weekend, making busking rather unpleasant and not too fruitful, seeing as people won't be stopping to listen. However, if I get some instant hot cocoa and wire the electric teapot the the cigarette lighter in my car... have a little sign saying "hot cocoa, 25¢". Make a little money that way, and people can stick around while drinking it and staying warm to hear some tunes and tip me. could be effective, definitely fun.
Well either way, got more or less all moved in. I need to scrounge money to build a loft for my room. It's a small room, and that's going to be the only way to get everything in there. Any local people have old lumber they'd like to get rid of, please let me know. Other than that I'll probably just have to suck it up and get the materials from the hardware store and build it.
Also planed about an ounce and a half of wood off the bridge of my guitar, sounds really good now. Also louder. I intend to substantially supplement my income via busking ONCE IT GETS WARM OUT (seriously, deity controlling the weather, this jkoke has gotten VERY old. Please stop.) According to the weather people, this weeks supposed to get pretty nice, till Friday when it's going to start being stormy, windy and cold again. right at the end of the month too. dammit. Hope the hot cocoa thing works.
