Online “To Do” list

What-ho mind of the Internet!

I am looking to set up an online to-do list, as I keep forgetting to-do things that I should do and carrying one around isn’t great. I’ve tried a couple of things, most mainstream google calendar, but it doesn’t quite cut the mustard. What I want is something that
  • Has a facility to do “needed by” dates, and would sync with google calendar (or at least export to it)
  • Be accessible on a variety of platforms (web, android, ipad)
  • Be able to categorise tasks easily (i.e. personal/work, urgent/unimportant, etc).

Has anyone got any suggestions?
