Holy cow!!
Ok...I'm not typically much of a Country music listener but tonight I tuned into Nashville Star because my mom told me a few days ago that a girl who was my best friend for a time in elementary school was going to be on it!! Her name is Melanie Torres and it has probably been something like 9-10 years since I last saw her!! Man, she's been busy! I watched her sing tonight and couldn't believe this was the same girl...she was amazing! And the judges really loved her...I have a feeling she'll stick around in that competition for a while.

When you go to the page, a video starts up of her singing too. That's the song she sang tonight in the competition, but I thought she sang it just a bit better on the show than in the video...but she still sounds really good!!
