Hold on everybody..
We can't say "Happy New Year" anymore, because it may be offensive to some people!
It's not the Chineese new year yet.. That can fall anywhere between January 21st and February 21st.. Rosh Hashanah (The Jewish new year) doesnt start until 163 days after passover. The Eastern Orthadox new year isnt until January 14th.. The Vietnamese new year is celebrated the same day as the Chineese new year..
Guys.. this is just rediculous.. it would be intolerant for us to say "happy new year" to other people, because it may offend them! We need to come up with a generic statement that can please everyone!
After all, we don't want to enforce our way of life on other people.. because that would just be wrong.. right?
Now, i know we've been calling it "New Years" as long as people can remember, but we can't be intolerant. So let's come up with a new saying that can please everyone...
What about 'Happy Holidays'? nah..
