The Pain of it all
So I got it back, hooray. And it worked. Great. However. My Xbox Live Arcade Games, of which I have quite a lot, only work on MY profile (that's who bought it you see), and not on everyone else's, which it did before. Apparently it's because when you buy them the hardware takes note that you bought them as well as your profile, so while my profile is online it sees I bought it so OK, but no one else did, and my machine (which is new) doesn't know that anyone bought it.
Long story short(er), MS have given me back the points I used when buying the games, to re-buy them with another profile on my curent machine, to make it learn that I've bought them. Which means I've been given 6300 MS points, roughly about 35-40 pounds, to re-buy my games.
I've used my initiative here, and am not going to buy games I don't want anymore, which I think is fair enough.
Goodbye Texas Hold Em! I got you free, but you are SO NOT WORTH 800 points. Hello Assault Heroes and maybe Small Arms...
