Ummm...no we can't
I guess my hesitancy to go all gaga over Obama was well founded. He's been appointing a lot of conservative people to various posts and has shown a very clipped, secretive demeanor.
Also, on his Change.gov website, he asked Americans to ask him questions and the number one question turned out to be:
"Will you consider legalizing marijuana so that the government can regulate it, tax it, put age limits on it, and create millions of new jobs and create a billion dollar industry right here in the U.S.?"
Obama's response?
"President-elect Obama is not in favor of the legalization of marijuana."
So the people really want this and he's just like "Mmmmm...nah."
I had a feeling he'd disappoint. Remember folks: a politician is a politician. They say what gets them elected, then do as they please.
