As the subject title says, this isn't a meme. It is, however, based upon something a very good friend of mine posted elsewhere on the Internet. So, my homage to "Jerry," who's not Irish, is this:
I am..... 23, a perpetual student, a writer, a son, a brother, a friend, an eternal optimist, a hopeless romantic, cynical, a little hedonistic, incredibly modest, and an aspiring historian.
I am not...Judgmental, entirely unintelligent, overly dramatic, pessimistic, violent, self-centered, or rude.
I love...My books and reading them, my family, my friends, writing until my hand aches, learning, my lovely nephew, adventuring with no real destination in mind, driving, and my pub, where I go to avoid my family and responsibilities.
I like..... unattainable women, challenging laws/rules, finding or "borrowing" random stuff to put on my computer, playing solitaire and mah-jong until I crash, staying up all night for no particular reason, wandering city streets at night, star-gazing, contemplation, philosophic discussion, beating the boys in quiz games, drumming, hookahs, and singing horribly in the shower.
I hate....Liars, cheaters, drunk sluts, people who are bitches, judgment, the Greeks at Mason, the boring and the mundane, when people don't clean (even though I'm guilty of it too), hot weather, and humidity.
I envy....educators, talented artists, people who find true love, and those few in life who find success doing what they love, not what they're supposed to do.
I fear....Failure, being alone forever, heights, landing and taking off in airplanes, and old women who walk into Starbucks.
Jessy, I don't have to do anymore to make it clear how alike we are, with just enough differences to make life interesting.
Come home for a weekend, regain your focus.
Where Fishes Go

Yeah, I found God
And He was absolutely nothin’ like me.
He showed me up like a dime-store hooker
Who was plain to see.
I couldn’t take it anymore, so I went back to the sea,
‘Cause that’s where fishes go
When fishes get the sense to flee.
Where you goin’ now?
What’s your plan?
Yeah, I found God
And He was absolutely just like me.
He opened my mouth, looked down my throat,
Told me I was thirsty.
He said I been, I been, I been,
Been in this water all my life,
Never took the time to breathe.
“Breathe. Breathe!”
What you doin’ in this darkness, baby,
When you know that love will set you free?
Will you stay in the sea forever,
Drownin’ there for all eternity?
What you doin’ in this darkness, baby,
Livin’ down where the sun don’t shine?
Come on out into the light of love,
Don’t spend another day
Livin’ in the sea. (x2)
