yup, the above named person is me. this entry is not a SARCASTIC one (even though i was craving to make it sounds like that -___-) and i just wanna help new friends of mine about the features in LJ (note: LJ is the abbreviation of LiveJournal)
what is an LJ cut? LJ cut is the feature in LJ where you can hide your long post under a simple link.
what is the purpose of LJ cut? to not to FLOOD YOUR FRIEND'S PAGES WITH YOUR LOOOOOOOONNGGGG POST. uff i like that sound. okay, assume that you wrote a long post, a fic or something, and you post it. yeah it is cool to read it, but to other people, it can be a little annoying sometimes, scrolling down hundreds of times just to read their friends page.
how to use an LJ cut? easy. after you finish copy and paste or writing your post, highlight the part of the post that you wanna hide, and click the LiveJournal Cut button up there on top of your posting box. which one? oh dont worry. drag your cursor to the buttons above and there'll be caption under it telling you which one. ok, after you click the button, a box will pop out saying 'read more...'. you can captioned a bit about your post here or just let it be just like that. for example, i put this post under the caption 'THIS IS NOT AN OFFENCE TO ANYONE', and when you open your friend page, the only thing that show up will only be the title and the caption that i put. right?
