Donghae hates cats. Really hates them. But for some reason, if the cat was in Seunggi’s hands, he will definitely erase all his hates to the innocent animal. Why?
It is because, Seunggi loves them. Just as simple as that.

“Uncle Donghae, I’m sorry for being so straightforward like this, but I’ve been in love with you from a long time ago.” He bowed, and knelt. Donghae didn’t know what he should do then. Seunggi is, how to put this? His older brother’s son, even though he’s not Siwon’s real son, and they are not particularly related.
The kneeling 18 years old boy looked up into his face, making some puppy eyes. Donghae tried to avoid that, since, yeah, it’s the puppy eyes god damn it! For a dog lover like him, even it was a human boy who did that, he’ll definitely melt. Or maybe it was just because of the term ‘puppy eyes’ itself, he didn’t remember.
“Seunggi-ah, are you really sure about this? I’m 12 years older than you, and you’re still too young!! Well, maybe still too young to decide whether you’re gonna choose between boobs and dick…I guess.” Seunggi stood up, and smiled. His two shining eyes were smiling just as his lips. Donghae almost got a nosebleed watching the divine smile, showering him with the sincerity of love.
He was about to faint. ‘This is bad. He’s using his secret weapon against me!! Must do something…’ so he straightened his shoulders, trying to look superior as an adult should have really been, and shoved away the boy who was about to push him down onto the couch.
“Dumb ass. What are you trying to do? I’m asking you if you’re really sure about this, not to do that ‘show me what you got’ body gag!” he whipped the boy’s head several times, but Seunggi just laughed his heart out, which somehow, was killing Donghae from the inside for trying to hold his smile and feelings of fluttered.
“Donghae uncle, I should try harder to get you the next time, eh? Don’t worry, I’ll do my best.”

Seunggi was smiling when he received the text message reply from Donghae.
“Just cook whatever you want, moron! I’ll be late tonight, don’t wait for me!” yet, he was sure that in the end, Donghae will be the first to arrive home, prepares all the utensils and cooking materials, and try - even though he can’t - to cook together with Seunggi.
“God, what a super-perfect-adorable adult I’m falling in love with.”
He knows that Donghae is not a person with a bunch of words. He rarely says anything that he thought of to others, so he always got stuck in the middle of some argument, especially when it involves his Siwon appa, uncle Kyuhyun, uncle Sungmin, and of course, his mother, Ri In. And it was the worst when they were at Seunggi’s house. No matter how hard Donghae tried to stop their arguments, he will always end up being the blamed person for all the things that happened, even though when they know he’s not.
Examples? Just like what happened about three weeks ago, when Kyuhyun and Sungmin wanted to get married and settle down in France. Siwon was strongly opposing the idea. And Ri In, too. Kyuhyun was almost crying when Siwon said that they are no longer brothers if he did that, and that was when Donghae stepped in from being just a watcher.
He tried to tell Siwon that there’ll be nothing to be worried about, that both Kyuhyun and Sungmin are above their thirties, and they should really think about their future in this relationship. But after all the oh-so-cool persuasion, one simple question that struck Donghae was,
“You’re the one who was proposing this idea to them, right? You brat! So what if they are thirties or so? They are still my brothers! And so do you! Kids should just listen to their elders!”
Kyuhyun and Sungmin blamed him too, for interfering in the wrong time, and for not using any concrete reasons, too. Well, it was only Kyuhyun who blamed him. Being the naggy old man as he always did.
And after all the long, stupid, wrong-blaming arguments, he’ll come to Seunggi’s room upstairs and started to whine about everything, and told the now-high-school-senior about what he really thinks about, and how he wanted the arguments to ended like. And Seunggi just love to hear it all. To him, Donghae is a man that resembles a cat, who is hard to be tamed when he was forced, but eventually, can also fell asleep in one’s arms whenever he feels like doing it.
And that is just the Donghae that he fall in love with.

He can still remember the first time Seunggi kissed him. It was short and sweet. A little peck that lightened up his face on Siwon’s wedding day. The little kid who saw his feelings that even Kyuhyun his best friend wasn’t aware about, up until now.
“I won’t make you sad,” was the phrase that he spat out at that time, and Donghae suddenly felt loved. And years after years, he was glad that Seunggi didn’t forget about his promise. He started to come to his house whenever he was free, and even learned how to cook from his mom, for that he said that he wanted to cook for Donghae who don’t have anyone to cook for him. And when Donghae asked him about his future bride, Seunggi blushed a lot, and told him that, “If she doesn’t want to do anything in the kitchen at all, at least she can look at me and talk to me as I finish the chores, just like what you always do, uncle Donghae.”
For that reason, Donghae felt as if he wants to be Seunggi’s bride, well, of course it was just because he was lazy to do dishes at first, but then, he wanted to be with Seunggi all the time. To watch him while he was cooking, to see his puppy eyes when he asked Donghae to taste his marvelous dishes, and to be hugged when he was down.
Maybe he felt that way because he was once in love with a guy, but then, he didn’t feel the same with any hot guys right now. Take Eunhyuk for example. He showed his oh-so-sexy gummy smile and winked eyes for him every day, but to fall in love with him? Donghae suddenly felt that he’ll be in quite a deep shit. Or maybe it was because he was lonely. Donghae just don’t give a damn about it.
Why Seunggi does become a special person for him?
Well, it’s not like Seunggi is going to wait for him for all time anyway. When he realizes that he was confused, he’ll definitely leave his side for sure. That would be better, but Donghae will be alone once again.

If Seunggi is about to put this situation in his own words, he would say that he is a dog, who loves a cat. Since, yeah, you know? Some people say that cat lover is a masochist? Who loves tortures and pains in some relationship? And relationship here got nothing to do with erotic feelings or whatsoever.
He loves to wait, and to be hit, and scolded, and scratched and bit and many sorts of things that Donghae did when he confessed his love to the elder. Just like the bruise that he got from Donghae’s kick two days ago.
But then, it is almost a year since he confessed for the first time, and the last one - yeah the one that he got the kick - was his second time; in a week. It sure was fun in the beginning, to wait for someone that he love to give his answer on his confession, but Seunggi is still a young man who can impatiently wait for an answer.
And Donghae had been playing with him for quite sometimes, that he thought of some ways to show his actually-annoyed-with-your-play feelings towards the obviously-older man.
He took a pen, and wrote a note, then put it under a plate of the dinner that he already cooked for Donghae, probably the last one. When Donghae turned on the light in his apartment that night, he saw a bunch of keys; his apartment keys, and a note :
‘I’m not cooking for you anymore. It was so hard trying to pet a cat like you, and I’m through. - Seunggi.’

Donghae sighed, as if the whole world has ended. There’s no more steaming dishes on his table, and it has been like that for almost a month now. Seunggi did as what he expected him to do.
And for now, as he hates to see his empty apartment when he comes home, he started the habit to hang out at Kyuhyun and Sungmin’s place, that sometimes he even got kicked out from there when the romantic couple wanted to be alone.
“Geez…what a cruel world…a good friend is what you need in troubles, and they’ve extinct.” He walked his way home after got kicked - literally - by Sungmin for hugging Kyuhyun too tight that night. But as he was nearing a park, he saw some kids, a couple obviously, was flowering each other’s mouth like there will be no tomorrow for them.
“Aish, kids these days…” and he paused, walking backward and reached the same spot where he first saw the couple earlier.
It was Seunggi.

He savored his eyes with the naked body next to him. To Seunggi, this girl is nothing compared to Donghae. What he wanted to do last night was just a kiss as the girl asked, but, oh damn. I fucked her already.
And suddenly a heavy feeling of guilt filled his heart. He said that he loves Donghae, but what is this? Just because he was pissed with that damn hard-to-decide adult, he cheated on him. Oh, fuck.
They’re not even dating for god’s sake. Should he say that he has been fooled around by that old man? Who used him to do the house chores, and a place to tell him all his discontent? The one who targeted as his screaming place, and a plush to be hugged to when he was depressed?
He never did that with Kyuhyun. Or his Siwon appa. No, ESPECIALLY with his Siwon appa. Why? Heh, there’s only one reason; he’s still in love with Siwon.
To smile whenever he was around. To speak politely to him. To never tried to hurt Siwon’s heart, and arguing with him just to content him. Gosh, he is jealous.
“Breakfast, Seunggi?” he nodded, as he glared outside and slowly following the girl’s body that was sneaking out from his room. Sighed, what a relief. And just when about he was going to put the slightly burnt bread into his mouth, a greeting barged into the house.
“Good morning everyone! Sorry for disturbing this beautiful morning…ah? Is everyone here? I have an important announcement to make.” Donghae smiled as if there is nothing happened. Seunggi was expecting something like ‘I’m sorry Siwon, Ri In, I love Seunggi’ or something like that, that he was shocked when Donghae showed them a letter of promotion.
“I’ve been promoted. And I’m moving to America, next week.”

For some reason, he could see a cheering in everyone’s eyes, except for Seunggi. Ah, let him be. His heart was still aching for what he saw last night.
Wait. Is he jealous? Donghae smacked his own head as he was savoring the taste of the tea that Ri In made for him. The same taste that he had since the first time he was in this house.
With a little Seunggi playing around and cheered them up all night long, until he fell asleep in his lap. He knew it at that time, that Seunggi will become a good man. A brilliant, handsome, good-looking guy.
Err, but he never thought about the gay thing. That his dorky self will be loved so much by such a kid.
“Uncle Donghae, can you come with me for a while?” Seunggi’s sudden question didn’t need an answer for it. He forcefully grabbed the elder’s arm when his mom wasn’t looking, and dragged him upstairs to his room.
“Why are you doing this? Is this all because of me? You’re trying to avoid me, aren’t you?” Seunggi started to question him, as he was trapping Donghae against the wall with his arms. Donghae shook his head.
“No, am not. I just got the promotion, so I think this is just the right time to make it. There’s nothing to do with hmmnnnphh - ??” and a pair of wet lips were forced on his, so sudden that he almost smacked his head back against the wall.
The breathings on his face made Donghae a little excited about this, but then, a flash of what he saw last night were intruding. He pushed Seunggi away from him with just a simple push.
‘Heh, still a kiddo after all.’
“You…why are you doing this?? Don’t you get it? This is not about you!!”
“Cold.” Seunggi sighed as he whispered the word. Donghae didn’t get it.
“Who? You? You’re having a cold?” and he was wondering if all Donghae’s weird behavior was the outcome of the cold. Guess he was wrong.
“You’re always cold towards me. You spoke harshly. You told me to do things, and you only came to me when you’re having a problem. And the most annoying is…” Donghae gasped. Is that how he is to Seunggi? He just didn’t seem to remember.
“…you didn’t reject me, even when you’re still in love with Siwon appa. You are using me. You’re cruel.” And Seunggi left him alone in the room, grabbed his motorbike’s key, and off from the house.
Leaving everyone in a whispering mode.

God he got me wrong. Or was it me who was wrong? I wanted to reject him, right? Then why; just like he said, why didn’t I?
Cold? He was cold? Seunggi is the place where he showed his emotions the most, and he was stamped as cold?
“Kids nowadays sure are loving metaphors.”

“Did you know that Donghae was in love with your Siwon appa?” Kyuhyun asked as he sipped the coffee made by Sungmin in his hand. Seunggi almost dropped the cup when he heard that. He wanted to ask Kyuhyun where did he know about that, but the elder quickly responds to his gesture.
“Donghae isn’t so hard to tell, kiddo.” Yeah, he knows about that. Donghae is as clear as water in a glass. A little vibration can shook him up, and seriously; he needs to learn about how to cover up his feelings better. But what he didn’t know is that everyone has already acknowledged he never wants to share his feelings.
“He held up everything in his heart, that sometimes it pissed me off, you know? He was angry sometimes, but he never showed me. He forced himself to smile. So when I saw you guys were having a fight, it was kinda relief. At least, with you, he was being his true self.”
His true self? He didn’t show his true self even to Uncle Kyuhyun?
Seunggi felt a little vibration in his pocket. It was Donghae who was texting him since a while ago, starting fifteen minutes after he left home, and crashed at his Uncle Kyuhyun’s place. He was smiling while he read all the messages that he got.
Where are you? I’m worried. Call me back.
Why aren’t you answering?? I’ve told you before, this got nothing to do with you! Call me back, moron!
Don’t speed. Please don’t speed. I’ll kill you if I know you’re speeding!!
If you come and meet me now, I’ll change my mind.
Seunggi stood up abruptly. Was he reading the same line?

Yes it was the same. He ran out from Kyuhyun’s house, and ignited his motorbike. He can’t waste something like this. Sorry, Uncle Donghae, but I have to speed.

Someone was standing at his feet in a black suit. Was it a reaper? Wow, what a luck. A cute reaper has come to get him.
He saw a woman crying by his side, and a tall man hugging the woman from the back. A young teenage girl was crying too, by the two adult. Two guys were hugging each other’s shoulders behind the reaper, and two people wearing white long coats were checking something in their hands.
He tried to move his head, but he couldn’t. Something was blocking him, probably the stupid plastic thing around his neck? Oh god, now he remembered. He was rushing to see Donghae!!

“He’s awake now, but I don’t think he can talk so soon. We’ll let him to be on therapy once he can eat and walk on his own.” The two doctors told Siwon and almost everyone in the room were sighing, a sign of relief. Suddenly a not-so-little-guy was blurting his anger towards Seunggi who was looking at them with his innocent eyes.
“Let me go!! I want to kill him! I’ve told him before not to speed, not to speed!! You stupid Seunggi!!” Kyuhyun was holding his friend, trying to calm him down. But his face was smiling. This was his first time seeing Donghae like this, so angry towards someone, and he liked it.
“Calm down, man. Can’t you see he’s injured? Kill him later after he can speak again, Donghae.”

Everyone was gone, leaving him and Donghae alone in the ward. Seunggi has been transferred to the ward since he woke up from the ICU before. And this time, Donghae wanted to tell Seunggi everything that he has been wanted to tell the youngster, if Seunggi managed to find him that night.
“Shut up and listen to me, brat. This is the only chance for me to say this, and I want you to hear it carefully. First of all, I won’t be leaving for the promotion. I just realized that I can’t live without seeing your face.”
Seunggi was blushing. He just couldn’t afford to hear what he was hearing just now.
“Secondly, I have stopped loving your Siwon appa a long time ago, since the day when you started to come and cooked for me at my house.” Seunggi quickly grabbed a whiteboard and a pen, and wrote a question on it, making Donghae laughed.
“Why? Because I’ve started to love you then, that’s why.” Donghae was holding the injured hand of Seunggi, and he felt as if he was in a la-la-land right now. So in love with Donghae.
“Thirdly, I saw what you did at the park a few days ago with that girl, and I don’t think that you guys stopped only with that, but I took that as a punishment.” His face droop a little, but Seunggi quickly tighten his grip on Donghae’s hand, as a sign of ‘I’m sorry’.
“Fourth, you have to come and cook for me again once you’ve recover. I miss your lunch. I miss your dinner. I miss you.” And this time, eventhough it was hard for him to do it, Seunggi just couldn’t control his face’s muscle, and his sweet smile appeared, making Donghae to blush this time.
“And finally, get well sooner, so that I can let you kiss me much gentler and longer this time.”

Writer: You guys are the main characters in this love story. What was the first thing that crossed your mind after reading the script, Kyuhyun?
Kyuhyun: I thought that it was interesting, with me being blind and all, and I should give it a try.
Writer: Oh, is that so? But there’s some gossips saying that you are actually waiting for the kissing scenes between you and Sungmin. Is that right?
Kyuhyun: (snickered) Yeah, that could be right too. I mean, we’re officially a couple, aren’t we, Sungmin?
Sungmin: (shoved away Kyuhyun’s perverted hands) Please let this off record. Kyuhyun is not really on his right mind right now.

Writer: Sungmin, what were your most embarrassing scenes in the main story and its Afterstory?
Sungmin: Hmm…in the main story, it was when I was kissing Kyuhyun in the car after him confessing to me about his feelings…
Kyuhyun: (interrupting) owh I love that part.
Sungmin: Shut up, Kyuhyun! And in the Afterstory, it was when I need to cry after seeing the present from my brother…gosh I hate crying scenes!!
Writer: O - owh…is that it? I thought…
Sungmin: You thought what?
Writer: I thought your most embarrassing scene in the Afterstory is the sex scene with Kyuhyun.
Sungmin: A - a…. can I fix that statement??

Writer: To be frank, I don’t really like your character here, Siwon. Any comments on it?
Siwon: (holding his Bible) I believe that I already did my best in my character, and it depends on individuals to judge it.
Donghae: (interrupting) Siwon hyung doesn’t really have a specific answer in this story. He had been kissing the Bible and praying hundreds of times since he accepted the offer to be casted on this story.
Writer: EEHH~~? Why is that?
Siwon: Only God can forgive the sins that I’ve made by being casted on this story…(crossing his fingers)
Donghae: But for me, this story is a great chance to improve my acting skills…oh, and by the way, Siwon hyung is not as innocent as he looks like. (whispering)
Writer: (listening) You guys did wha - at!! Omona~
Siwon: What did you told her, Donghae???
Donghae: Nothing. Just that thing that we did after we finished recording every night…

Seunggi: I was delighted when I knew about it, and a bit shocked when I knew that I was paired with Donghae in here. Well, usually my couple was a woman, but this time, it’s a little…hmm…challenging.
Writer: You guys were kissing!! How did you guys feel about that?
Seunggi: A bit different from what I thought, and somehow, it was refreshing. And Donghae was such a good kisser (lick his lips)
