Now that I'll be working full-time again. I have to come up with a writing schedule. I don't want to miss any writing days. I really can't decide what time will be best for at least a few weeks. The first few weeks I'll be in training so I'll still have a few extra hours in the evening to write but when I start doing my forty hours? Yeah, that's the fun part. Do I write in the morning or the evening? I would love to have an early schedule but with the times, I'm glad to just finally have a full-time job again.
So my question for my writers is, how do you do it? Do you find you work best in the morning? Maybe you're a night person. I'm not sure for me because I'm a night person most of the time but I'm sure I'll have many days where I come home from work and you know that' s when the laziness hits. You're tired. The chores have to be done. Maybe you're so tired, you just want to watch TV or a movie. Or my favorite, a friend calls you to join them. When you get home, it's too late to even think about sitting down in front of the computer. In the morning, all I can think about is coffee. Maybe I can drink coffee and write. Also pray everything I write makes sense as I try to wake up.
I had a full-time job six months ago but with that job it was easier to write. I had an early shift so I had the nights to write. On our slow days? Instead of reading while waiting for the next call, I would write. I loved working on Saturdays when I could just sit and write since the weekends were normally dead for phone calls.
From what I hear, this new job they'll keep us busy which in many ways will be nice since I bet it will make the day go faster.
Any advice would be great :). I'm definitely curious to know what your word counts are everyday when you work a forty-hour job.
