Dungeon Brain and Building Furniture

I've had my first reader, Mr. Michael Louis Calvillo, look over my second novel DUNGEON BRAIN. It's pretty different than BLACK & ORANGE. For one, it's dark scifi, not dark fantasy, but it's a little less trippy too-- well, maybe trippy in other ways. Anyhow, I've done a once over with some first reader suggestions and now I've begun the business of placing it. I'm also closing in on a second draft of the dark urban fantasy ORDER OF DEATH to hand back to MLC for another go. Very fun.

And started my new novel, which I'm thinking is one part Bentley Little and one part Lewis Carroll-- well, hoping for anyway. ;)

On a personal note, I had my first father's day. It was not relaxing, but it was productive. So we got a new piece of furniture for our condo. The entertainment center is a sleek, black number with three doors (two glass and one speaker fabric). I spent my day putting it together, the obligation of every dad to become sweaty and injured. Now my back's jacked up, I have rug burns on my knees (don't think it), and the doors still need adjustment. It took me about five hours to build, and half of that time went to the doors and the itty-bitty screws that fastened the hinges.

It would have been nicer, in the end, if I could play Gears of War on a setup like this: BIG SCREEN

Thanks for reading, all ye ghosts in the machine.
