Figured Id update...enjoy all the random thoughts in my stream of consciousness....
- Well it's my birthday once again...Im now 19 years old (Im getting old I know). Sadly my birthday looks like it'll just be a normal day full of class and homework. Nothing out of the ordinary I suppose...no special birthday surprises....eh oh well....
- School is going good...it's only the fourth week and I've been working constantly at the never ending homework assignments. My teachers seem alright so far. Bleitz (Graphic Design) is totally rad and I actually enjoy going to his class....Higgins (Design with Type) is sorta scary although I dont think things will be too bad in there. I only have two GIC classes so the rest of the time Im in liberal arts classes (meaning I have a lot of essays to write...blah)
- Im still working at Davidsons on the weekends. I was planning on quitting earlier but for now Im keeping the job just to earn a little cash (and plus for some reason the ladies there love me). Working there still kinda eats into my hw time but I've worked around it (my manager doesnt seem to mind me working on hw while im at the register...although I doubt Mr. Davidsons would be too happy about that but whatever)
- Sometimes I wish I could just stop over analyzing things. Doesnt help anything in the long run...just stresses me out. I just keeping taking things day by day (pretty much all I can do).
- I think I made the right choice with sticking with GIC as my major. I know many of my teachers and friends pushed me to switch to illustration but for some odd reason I feel more comfortable as a GIC. Although I do miss sketching so if I ever get some free time I'll have to open up my old sketchbook.
- Haven't talked to my dad in awhile...he had a big scare a few weeks ago which got me thinking that I need to somehow sort out my feelings toward him because he's not going to be around forever. It's just so hard to get past this huge distance that's grown between us. He has a new life now that seems to barely include me so it's just tough to talk to him about any of it. I miss him and I know that nothing is going to change unless I take the initiative.
- Im dying to go to disney world...kinda bummed cause this is the first year Im not going with Ronnie and Jenny on our traditional vacation. Hopefully in November we'll get to go up there (at least I hope so).
- For weeks now Ive had this little lizard living in my room...the little guy is impossible to catch so ive just let it crawl around my room but now it looks like theres a second smaller one living here too. I think eventually lizards are gonna take over...it's honestly terrifying.
