Wow. I haven't updated in a really long time.
Last week was homecoming week...it was a lot of fun. I was really excited about three things: Spirit Splash, the parade and the football game. Friday, the day of spirit splash, of course wouldn't have been complete without a meeting for work. So I had to get up extra early. Argh! Anyway, they informed the student assistants that were working during spirit splash that they would be let out at 4pm to go. Well, anyone with sense knows that that time is when spirit splash is ending!! Zach was working until 4 then, and I had class till 3:30, so I just waited for Zach to get out. We went over to spirit splash and there was still quite a few people. The temperatures were not stellar however, but that is a different story. We walked around and I decided not to go in because the water was a cloudy brown. Probably from the dogs. Or the people. Whichever, I was kind of sad, but kind of happy, (since I now for sure won't get sick) that I didn't get to participate in Florida's best homecoming tradition this year. The next day I was ready for the parade and game. Zach and I left the apartment around 1030 ish, but decided to go to Toys R Us because we thought we were going to get there too early because the parade did not start until 12. To expedite this story, we eventually got downtown and parked, walked to the parade and got to see four floats. It was only 12:15. The parade started at 11:30. At least we saw the LEAD Scholars float..it was actually pretty good. Meanwhile, we were trying to meet up with Aileen this whole time. But I don't really know where or what she was doing. Anyhow, we never met up with her and she was not answering her phone. Zach and I decided to get out of downtown to eat lunch and went to Millenia to eat lunch and visit Brittany. After that we went back downtown to the game and fan faire. Fan faire was fun, but nothing like what I had expected. I got these cool noise maker things and a few other things. There, they announced that LEAD Scholars won Best Skit for skit night, best dance, and 3rd place float. I was kind of impressed-that is a pretty big deal for them. We finally went to the game. I wanted to sit in the special student section, but Zach did not have a ticket. I was watching this one usher dude and he was just letting people in the section without a ticket, so we made our way to some new seats... We had to leave the game early - but UCF lost of course. Then we went to do a hotel shop in Lake Buena Vista near Disney.
The hotel shop was very fun. Embassy Suites are very nice and I ate a lot of food. Especially breakfast.
This week was busy. I had a project in Acting class and a lot of other things to do that I am glad are over. It was nice to have Thursday off. Wednesday night, Brittany planned to buy a Christmas tree and asked if Zach and I would go with her. You can read about our night here, if you want:
Christmas Tree Decorating Night (Brittany: If you don't like that I linked this I'll remove it). It was a lot of fun, and revolved much around Starbucks. Haha. It was fun to hang out for the night.
Thursday I planned on getting my oil changed, so I went to the Valvoline near my apartment really early because I have this coupon. And I still have it today. The guy came up to the car, and asked for my info, etc., and I told him I have a coupon. He said "We don't do those" or something very unintelligent. I was fine with that. But, he came back and said that they don't have a filter that fits my car, and referred me to the Shell down the street. Hah. Okay. The last time I checked, you shouldn't refer your customers to your competitor. But whatever. That was getting up early for nothing!
Later on that day, Zach and I had soup, salad, and breadsticks at Olive Garden. The ultimate college pig out meal. I won't describe what I ate--you really don't want to know... Then we went to Altamonte Mall at night. I finished my Spanish workbook.
Friday came and so did class. Spanish was VERY ANNOYING. We played board races. They can be very heated. This time, the teacher let some students be referees. Well, lets just say that it didn't work. The really dumb girl of the class was one of them. Anyway, I clearly won numerous times and I didn't really win according to them. And, sometimes the stupid girl declared a person a winner, only that they had a wrong answer and she thought it was right. And, annoying guy needs to learn how to talk, because apparently, he said 'querer' and I heard 'morir'. That was irritating. After I was highly irritated and had dry erase marker on my pants, our team won. But there are still so many annoying people in that class. After that, I had my private voice lesson with Richard (my Musical Theatre Voice teacher). He said that I have a very good voice and have a possible future in musical theatre. That made me feel nice. Fast forward to later that night, Zach has gone home, and Hilary asked if I wanted to go out to eat. I said yes, and she, Melissa, Melissa's friend Jeff, and I went out to Dragon Court. It was pretty good. Then we went to the Water Ice place and that was a new experience for me. But it was good.
And today I am working on homework. I started off by going to Kinko's. Well I have officially decided that Starbucks AND Kinko's can both lick my butt. First off, Starbucks had 10000000 people going in and taking up all the parking spaces. PLUS, they were getting some milk delivered and the truck was blocking most of the roadway, causing traffic problems. Then, Kinko's sucks. Their copiers are stupid. I was copying and them it started giving me some paper with berries and leaves on it. Excuse me, Kinko's I did not want berries and leaves! I thought about saying something, but I didn't. The copier also copied some things wrong. Long story. I spent over seven dollars on copies for a class, 54 cents of that was Kinko's mistake!!! Boy, you gotta love all of those illegal copies required for theatre classes.
Other things that happened this week: I killed a huge roach in our living room and I found some money on the ground.
I just finished project six for directing...I am on a roll!!!
More later. Must do homework. Adios!
