things are going.
i have a new job at a really classy restaurant here called Pangea.
they have the dorkiest slogan for themselves: "Bringing the World Together" (Pangea = Super continent hundreds of thousands of years ago)
i wash the dishes their and hopefully am going to move into prepping stuff/cooking eventually. they feed me a fancy lunch everyday and all the people in the kitchen are really rad.
i'm glad i have the job because right now i just feel like i need to be making some extra flow and keeping myself busy. i've never liked working.. but it feels so good right now, which probably says something about my state in life.
i get free sodas like whenever i want.
i've been watching a lot of movies. bill murray is pretty awesome and so is dustin hoffman.
i've been recording with my friend Kristian from school and it's sounding pretty good. i've been writing a lot of songs lately which is also pretty good. i've been on a steady diet of concious hip-hop for the past 4 or 5 months too which is fucking good.
i met a girl here too who is very cool and we're not anything yet.. she just moved here and we get along really well one on one, which i'm pretty bad at in general. i've been realizing that i'm pretty terrified of the opposite sex. so i'm climbing that hill right now. i've also realized that i'm pretty weird, and i just keep getting weirder so i think i have to take that into consideration with the ladies as well.
i've had this whole thing with eye contact recently too, and it's been really intimidating. but i just keep telling myself that i'm normal and everyone else is fucked, so i hope that's working.. and that soon i will be able to not just walk around staring at the ground.
i have a kitten now too named Carl Sagan, which i might have mentioned a while ago on here.. but i'm doing it again cos he's fucking awesome. and he's given me a good refresher course on my respect for animals. he is also fond of taking showers. somebody said something once like "you can tell a lot about people by how they treat their pets" and i hope that if they were looking at me they would be like "Aww.. what a good guy".
