I'm still excited by Germany's incredible win over Argentina yesterday. I started watching the Spain - Paraguay game around the time it got crazy with penalties and I was sad to see Paraguay lose. I definitely would have preferred them as an opponent in the semi final. With a Germany - Spain game though, it'll mean that there will be at least one European team in the final. Hopefully it's us, obviously.

I'd rather see Uruguay go through to the final, for entirely shallow reasons: hmmm... Forlán.

Even though my tattoo still hasn't healed entirely (the scab formed and already fell off largely, but not completely), I've decided to pick up my daily workout routine again. I miss working out and I have goals I want to achieve. And for these goals, I need to work out. I know my artist said not to work out, but I think as long as I avoid things like yoga where I might lay/accidentally rub on the foot, I should be fine.

Speaking of workout and goals, I've reached my first workout goal! YAY! I have one big goal (lose X kilos), but also several smaller goals to keep myself motivated. It's mostly certain articles of clothing that I used to fit in and no longer do and that I want to wear again.

There are two pairs of shorts that I couldn't close two weeks ago and this morning I could! They're still a little snug and I think I'd like to lose a little more weight before I'll feel comfortable wearing them again, but I'm getting there! So yay!

I think I'll reward myself for reaching the first goal. With buying something nice. Like a set of handweights. Any recommendations in manufacturer or size/weight? I have no idea which ones are good for beginners.

My vacation plans are getting more concrete. I've decided to meet up with mittelfeld and erjika in California in September to go on another road trip, just like we did last year. On my way back, I'll be stopping in New York. I'll be gone about 3 weeks in early September. I already cleared it with my supervisor at Old Agency and he okayed it, so quite frankly, New Agency people get no say in it.

I'm so excited!
