Criminal Minds | RECS! (Parte deux)
Following up from this post, I come bearing more Criminal Minds fic recs. Once I was through with all five seasons of CM, I started a new marathon which currently stands at the last disc of my Season 2 DVDs.
I watched 2x12 (Profiler Profiled) and 2x15 (Revelations) with the audio commentaries that feature Shemar Moore (2x12) and Matthew Gray Gubler (2x15) respectively and man, I don't think I could love these guys any more. If you have the chance to watch these eps with the commentaries, by all means do so! Shemar says a few incredibly lovely and insightful things and MGG is his goofy self (as to be expected!) Also, if you can get your hands on the Season 2 DVDs, I recommend the deleted Morgan & Reid scene from 2x16. It's incredibly sweet and funny (and Reid at his best!). Sadly it had to be cut since it didn't work anymore after the 2x14-2x15 storyline.
Enough rambling, on to the recs!
Just like last time, I'd like to start with reccing a picspam. This time, we're focusing on Derek Morgan because you know you want to. The picspam includes pictures, meta and videos to explain who SSA Morgan is and why he is the way he is. My favorite parts are Morgan The Superhero (I was watching 2x07 North Mammon the other day and might have watched the scene of Morgan fly-tackling this other dude more than once. Maybe...) and Morgan The Flirt. It's so spot on!
It's pretty up to date, so if you really, really don't want to be spoiled for important end of Season 4/Season 5 developments, you might want to skip this.
Morgan/Reid
Let's start with Morgan/Reid again. It continues to be a thing of beauty.

I found that what's been aired of Season 5 so far had some strong Hotch/Reid scenes and since I can't really decide whether I like Morgan/Reid more than Hotch/Reid, I certainly didn't mind. [Since I've mostly been reading recent fic - in fact about everything that's been posted the last month - I think that all Hotch/Reid fics are post-divorce, so there should be no infidelity in them. Let me know if that's not true.]

Obviously, this has panties kink in it (which might not be your thing), but there was something about this that really worked for me. Maybe it's the angst and the how Hotch even got there and what it all means and not just something that's written because it could be potentially be hot. Not sure whether the author intended it to, but there is so much more to this than panties kink.

Reid should still be Reid -he shouldn't be a pushover or anything. -- Not really that much of a fan of AUs, but there was nothing else to read, so I gave this a try. And I'm glad I did! I ended up enjoying this a lot. Despite being AU, everybody's still extremely in character. Elle is still part of the BAU, Gideon is not. Written for the cm_exchange so the author is yet unknown.
