Proof?

A cute girl gave me a first edition of the Star Wars comic.  This may be proof of something more important, but for now I must disprove an earlier conspiracy theory.

An old Star Wars conspiracy of mine was, in the vein of George Lucas recreating the Star Wars as he went along and then pretending that it was all planned out from the start, that Darth Vader was not originally Luke Skywalker's father.  I had heard rumors but never seen all the comic panels of a missing scene in the comic version of Star Wars that was only partially restored in the Special Edition.

In this missing scene, depicted in the comic but absent in the theatrical release we see a scene pulled from the original shooting script.  Red Leader confronts Skywalker about his flying skills and Biggs Darklighter vouches for him.  This was all restored in the Special Edition release of Star Wars.  However, what a blue screened pilot blocks in a jump cut, Red leader then recognizes Luke by his last name and mentions his that he had met Luke's father!  While some wording issues might point to revisionisn by Lucas, there is no indication of anything that contradicts Empire Strikes Back directly.  Bah.
