Its that time again

Hello everyone. good to see you all again. I'd say I've been pretty busy lately. which is by no means a bad thing. Classes are good, work is good, the band is good. all in all stuff is good i suppose. I've hung out with some people that i haven't hung out with in a while lately...so thats always nice.

so anyway.

This weekend has been pretty interesting. I've attended multiple LARGE gatherings. Most of these gatherings were with complete strangers. On friday night, i went solo after work and headed out to a show in east lansing. I missed the High Life, and I was pissed, but it was cool to meet up with them and hang out. After that I headed further into East Lansing to some dudes house. I pretty much knew one person there and he told me to come out. This house was completey packed with people. I was told it was mostly East Lansing/Okemos kids. either or, it was cool. I just kinda bullshited around and met a few people. I didn't really even drink. I'm pretty sure i was the kid that no one knew at the party, and I kinda liked it. It was definetely a good time.
LAST NIGHT
I was at this party last night. This guy I met from LCC invited me out to one of his friends house. This guy is a drummer and a real cool dude. Me, him, a bass player and a sax player are playing this funk tune called "The Chicken" for one of our classes. Its very cool, its got a very "saturday night live closing theme song" sound to it. but it rocks. ANWAY, me, him and chris headed out to this party in Lansing. Basically it was the same kinda deal...I knew no one there. BUT it ended up being a good time. I met a couple of the guys from Know Lyfe and hung out with them, apparently their bass player has liked the van ermans from way back in the day. I'm talkin BJ Lentz basement / A+ punk era. (only a few of you will understand that) So that was cool, cuz I've never really talked to those guys. again, i didn't really even drink much, a little..but not much. But its just amazing how small the world is sometimes. I ran into a few people there that i had seen around in the past..or had just recognized their face, ya know? parties like that are all about small talk, finding somthing to briefly talk about with strangers is tough, but it must be done for sake of a good time. It was really cool to hang out with steve (thats the dude i went with) real nice guy. real down to earth.
so after that, chris and I headed out to Joe P's dorm. they were playing Beer Pong, and beer pong is always good time. we walked to Bell's Pizza and watched like 4 cops roll up in to the parking lot. i guess there was a fight or somthin, beats me. after that we just took off and headed home.

soo, this weekend was pretty packed with stuff. I was all over the place and all across town. I didn't mind being at parties where i didn't know anybody. Its good to stray away from same ol' crowd. I like seeing new faces, cuz thats what i need to see..new people. nothin wrong with the old, stuff just gets stale after a while. Its more of a challenge to have a good time when you don't know anybody, but I'm always up for a challenge. so yea. that was my weekend in a nutshell. I'm gonna go eat now.

sincerely
