so it was another bad day. 2nd period was particularly form of hostile and it was just wretched in 4th period. 6th period wasn't even as bad as 2nd or 4th. 2nd is just plain mean. 4th was wound up to a degree that was just amazing. this is nuts.
to matters worse, my car came back from the inspection today with $600 worth of stuff it needs to do. basically, the minute i put that money into the car, everything else is going to go - the transmission and the timing belt. so its time (like i have the time!) to deal with it and probably within the next month get a new car. while i hate the car in the summer and it makes me near pass out,i'm also really sad. if it had air conditioning and it wasn't so based up, i would never would want to let go. i love that car. i do. it is the best ride on the road. i drove the camry today and i hated it. the steering wheel is too sensitive - i can't really drive it one handed. it feels like it is going to fly off the road as i make the turns on 1-70 at 70 - 80 mph. okay, so i shouldn't be going that fast, but the point is that there is no other car that rides that low to the ground. there's never a moment where i feel unsafe in that red car when its weat (okay, when its torrential downpour and i can't see more than 5 feet in front of me, then maybe) and it drives like i want it to. it has no pick up, its hot as hell, it leaks and smells when it downpours, and is ugly now, but its my car. i like that the brakes don't work as well...it gives me time to slow down and kind of roll forward. they work...they are just a bit tougher. i like the tape deck, i just plug in my ipod. the whole cd thing is kind of annoying. and now they got rid of my radio station the river, i refuse to listen to st louis radio. and that whole having a dashboard you can put stuff on...what ever happened to that concept too. and why do all cars have to look so sporty?
they don't make cars like my 92 Honda anymore. they don't make cars that have nice interiors but functional. they don't make cars that hug the road like the red car.
i'm not ready for this change. who knows if it will happen...but i can't justify paying $600 for the car maintence either. and since its pretty key stuff, i canj't put it off saying "if it dies, i'll get a new car". no. the decision will have to be made in the next month.
the only thing that's awesome is that it will be midnight blue. and it will have an ipod hookup. yeah that's right. :)
