D&D 4th Ed!

Our books are here! Yay! We got the boxed set off of Amazon ($60 for all three books, yes please) and they got here yesterday. Flipping through them, it's amazing how much they're trying to present information in a way that is friendly to the WoW players out there. They actually talk about there being roles in a group. Roles like 'defender', 'striker', and 'supporting'. Please believe us, we don't mean 'tank', 'DPS', and 'heals'. Classes are presented with internal 'specs'. Warlocks exist, complete with debuffs. Grey elves are now not part of elves as a whole, but 'cousins' called Elandrin.

That's okay, it's still D&D. :) Joe and I are probably going to start 'D&D Fridays', full of dungeon-crawling, beer-and-pretzel goodness (ok, ok, it's us, it'll probably be viognier-and-cheese plate goodness, but still). Prolly at least twice a month.

Because, you know, we don't have enough on our plates with Joe's Marvel game and my Shadowrun game.

If you're interested, we have a yahoogroup for our tabletopping conversation -- 'novatabletop'. Games are announced there and the traffic is fairly low.

Marvel Saturday. Yay! Lyssa has changed her costume again -- she's getting a little more in touch with her side as Daddy's Little Girl. (evil chuckle)
