"The problem with doing nothing is not knowing when you are finished."

There is a very good chance that tomorrow will go down in history as one of the most important mid-term elections in our nation. There is a lot riding on tomorrow, and I hope that everyone reading this is planning on going out to the polls (or has already sent in their absentee.) I simply cannot stress enough how important voting is. So many people in this country bitch and moan about the state of things and our current administration, yet don't show up at the polls. How can you demand a change, yet not care enough to take part in it?

Vote because you care about civil liberties and don't want to spend another two years watching them be stripped away. Yes, we live in a different world than the generations before us, but we shouldn't have give up our freedom for the sake of security. To paraphrase a quote that is often atttributed to Benjamin Franklin -- if we give up essential rights for temporary safety, we deserve neither.

Vote because the status quo just isn't cutting it anymore. Something needs to change in this country. If we elect the same people over and over, there's no hope that anything will ever change. A chance of a possibility is better than no change at all.

Just get the fuck out there and fucking vote tomorrow. Damn it.
