My true love and I got into a fight today. She gave me twelve drummers drumming, but I lost them already. She said I was ungrateful and cheap. I thought breakfast at Denny's was more than generous. I hope this blows over, the lords, ladies, pipers, and all the various birds are pretty upset too. Well, Merry Christmas everyone.

My true love got me eleven pipers piping. She certainly is original with her gifts. I kind of wanted an iPod though. I still have to get her something. Maybe a gift certificate to Arby's or Bickford's or something. The lords are now dancing and the ladies are a-leaping. Figures. Besides that everything else is pretty normal.

Today my true love gave me ten lords a-leaping. All day, all night, they just a-leap. The dancing ladies have been dancing with them lately. The geese and swans are finally at peace with each other. I think they realized it really just wasn't worth the loss and hurt. I called the doves and partridge, and it turns out that's where my MIA bird is. ( Read more... )

Finally my love came through. Today she gave me nine ladies dancing. The maids ran out of things to milk and quit. The swans and geese are still a-fighting. Two geese and a swan were killed in the living room shoot out last night. The funeral for the deceased hen was today. The other two were a bit down, as would be expected. I talked to my true love and we decided no more birds. So she bought me eight maids a-milking. I wouldn't mind being a-milked myself, if you know what I mean. The swans and geese are having turf wars between the bathroom and the kitchen. No casualties so far. The hens are back and in better spirits.
