(no subject)
so, it is that time of the year again...
and i don't mean holidays, heh.
somewhat surprisingly, this year i have actually been pretty well in december. unlike in the last... several years, i haven't been depressed or scared by my upcoming birthday, even though it is the 30th, which does sound scary. i am guessing having a lot of work to do actually does me good in that respect....
saturday was Cherry Poppin' Daddies concert in sofia. rather good, but then again, if i didn't like it, why would i go in the first place. awesome stage presence, too. too bad the former cinema hall was never really meant for so many people who smoke. (admittedly, they must have done something for ventilation because it was still breathable after a few hours inside.)
sunday, nelly's parents came from plovdiv to visit, and we treated them to a few new things for them. first, we had sushi, then we took them to a 3-d movie (U23D). That concert was rather good, too. But maybe seeing something silly like santa vs. the snowman would have been better for their first 3-d experience. Later my parents took us to dinner, in a russian restaurant that i am not going to visit again soon. too expensive, and definitely not worth it. that is not saying it is not worth more than most other places, though :)
lately, i find i am getting all teary for no apparent reason, or for rather stupid ones. just sitting there, and all of a sudden my eyes would well up. or i'd feel like it, at least. i wish i had an idea where that comes from. it has never really happened before, for a period of time. weird. :)
i need a longer rest, i think. perhaps i just didn't rest enough this weekend, but i feel like a break. good thing it is coming... or is it? we'll have to see. what are your official holidays over on the other side of the Atlantic?
