people started asking if i am alive, so i figure it's time for another post ;) (carly, i am sorry i missed congratulating you on your birthday, but i was away from all sorts of computers at the time. maybe i still should have called, though.)
life has been good. since my last post (wow, it's really been a month), i've been busy, running this place and that. the orthodox easter was on the last weekend of April, and then after just a couple work days, we had another 6-day vacation due to national holidays (1st and 6th both are). so, during this longish time off, we went to a small trip around northwestern bulgaria (pictures up at sofie's flickr,
here. what is not there is the excitement of when we hit a hole so hard we had a flat tire and had to change it. luckily, the experience was nowhere near as bad as that one time with Gregg when it happened on the highway.
the other news that is somewhat important is that i am (finally) changing my job, after a couple years of saying i should. i think the next week is my last working here, and then i'll have a short time off and will start at the new place in june. what i will be doing is some sort of support again, at a software company, and you will be getting reports about how it is going. for now, i know 5-6 people there, and everyone seems really nice. the work will be challenging, but i need something like that, i think. the bad part of this is that i will be left without a computer at home for a while. i'll need to figure out something about that, but finances need working on.
lack of enough sleep this week is taking a toll on me, so right now i am going for a walk outside, combined with some sort of lunch during the break :)
