music stuff
My conducting final was on Tuesday. I conducted the wind ensemble in Eric Whitacre's Lux Aurumque. I actually feel really good about it. Lots of room for improvement, but for the first time this semester I felt like I kind of knew what I was doing when I was up in front of the ensemble.
I was very productive yesterday. I practiced piano for 3.5 hours and worked on composition for something like 6 hours. It was fun! I have much more to give to these activities when I'm not in class or teaching for so many hours beforehand.
I think I'll be just ready enough for my piano juries this coming Wednesday. My pieces are starting to come together. Need to keep practicing!
