Tchaik: complete
Well, my orchestral conducting debut has come and gone. I was nervous, but it was fun too. It was funny, the teacher announcing my name caused murmurs to ripple through the string sections. The Heifetz name will do that to you. Overall, I'm satisfied with how I did. There were some moments that were successful, and others that definitely weren't. Apparently, I can't cue a woodwind entrance to save my life. I also wasn't able to get them up to the tempo I wanted, so it really dragged the whole time. I was inspired watching some of the doctoral students. I can really see myself doing this, being a conductor. Enough so that I'm wondering if I should get a second masters in conducting. Hmm. That's a lot more school, and I've only just started.
