Life is Strange. It is cruel, unfair, beautiful & just, all at once.
I was horrified that my car got totalled. But after everything got figured out, we got a nice settlement. We used it to pay off debts that we had been trying to pay off for a long time. Now we will have excellent credit scores, and less bills. Best of all, I got a beautiful new car that I LOVE.
It's a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT. It's got so few miles on it, it's FAST, 6 CD changer, sunroof, it's got a button on the keychain that starts the engine from outside of the car. It's amazing, and I got lucky finding it.
Besides that and having an awesome supportive husband who's been taking care of everything, things have been kind of..... crappy. I had a job opportunity with Lancome for the new Wiregrass Mall that's opening up in Wesley Chapel. Over the span of 5 weeks I went through FIVE levels of interviews. Every one of them went amazingly, they pretty much handed the job to me on a silver platter. Until after my final interview the manager said she'd call me within 24 hours, and never did. That was 2 weeks ago. I had to call everyday and finally find out from her secretary that I didn't get the job. I'm still furious that they wasted over a month of my time. I had even put in notice at Shapes, and they hired my replacement. I'm still there but my hours are even less now. And to top it all off we found out our rent is going up....way up... so we are moving out sometime in December. We figured out that there WAS a reason my car got totalled, so there must be an ultimate reason for me not getting the job I really wanted & worked hard for, and for us moving out of the house we love. No doubt he works in mysterious ways. Guess we'll have to wait it out.
With being so stressed lately, I've been trying to do therapuetic things. Banging out my frustration on the drums for rockband helps. (We got it for the wii) I've also picked up 2 books. One I finished reading the first day I got it. It was Tori Spellings' biography. (Don't judge- I love how she can laugh at herself!) I couldn't put it down, it was surprisingly insightful. Today I got 'Escape', a woman's biography about her life in a polygamy compound. Getting lost in books always makes me feel better. I've also taken up trying out new cooking recipes. We've also become netflix members again.
I was looking at the top 20 prettiest towns in the US. I'd like to move here.
Rockport, Maine.
Savannah was in the top 5....
Made me cry when I saw this picture. Been to that fountain so many times. Missing Savannah...
