[Seph's stalking around, as per usual. Um, his eyes glow. Bright green. And he's kind of mute, so he can't be all, "Hey uh, I'm not a monstar, kthnx." Feel free to bump into him and promptly freak the hell out.]

[Aros is also stalking around, as usual. I think we need to have an epic meeting of the stalkers who have possibly walked past each other dozens of times and various other days. Aros is kinda chillin' in a tree, watching everyone -- much closer to the village than usual too. His eyes glow a bit too -- in his case, dull yellow]

[Would you look at that; there's a something in the tree, a familiar something. Unfortunately, Seph can't do that calling-out thing, so he's just going to stare in an obvious "what the hell are you doing up there" fashion.]

[Thing is, Aros is a mute by choice. All Sephiroth is going to get is a blank and expressionless tilt of the head, which unless he's got a lantern or can see in the dark is just gunna look like the yellow dots tilted a bit to the right]

[As it is fairly difficult to see darkness within darkness, Sephiroth just sees the eyes but has a general idea of what it could possibly be. That heart-eating thing. So he's kind of on guard, but it hasn't attacked yet and he's not sure if it will, so now we have a boring standoff.]

[Pity Aros can't feel boredom, so he's contenting himself in listening to Sephiroth's heart. Beat, beat, beat. It shows strength, somehow, because there's only a weariness right now, no fear]

[It's certainly killed before; Sephiroth wouldn't put it past the creature to kill again. Not only that, but he wasn't sure how the darkness would aid it in its movements. He has a set of options before him: he could tail the creature -Aros, if memory served him correctly- he could attack the it, or he could leave it well enough alone.

Choices, choices. And while he doesn't particularly care for whispering, he does so for practicality's sake.]

Why are you here?

Listening. [Even if voice is a terrible, infernal-sounding echoy bit of nightmare. Aros merely stares blankly at the other though... for that is indeed what he's doing. Listening to get a grip for who's in the town, and even more particularly what's the status of Flonne now that he can no longer hear Laharl's pulse. It has him frankly... a bit concerned, if it can be said he feels such things]

[That was innocent enough. Although anything said in that voice sounded anything but; Sephiroth toyed with the hilt of Masamune as he debated. It wasn't exactly his duty or his job to keep the people of Luceti safe, but he'd feel rather poorly if he didn't at least try. Then again, the shadow hadn't done anything just yet, and attack unprovoked was in poor taste, especially since it would have the advantage.

Oh well. Sephiroth gave the creature -its eyes, really- another appraising glance before turning and continuing along his way.]
