Woah, guess who's totally not dead!
(I like how in internet land I can not post for 11 days and for me I feel like I've dropped off the face of the internet... planet)
I've got a ton of comments to reply to (I didn't realize until browsing back at old entries how shite I am at replying, I'm sorry guys and I'm gonna try harder) and I'm gonna be working on, y'know, answering them in the next couple of days.
Summer has basically started here (at least for the college students) but in typical midwest fashion the weather has gone from 40s-50s one day and 60-70s the next. *shakes fist at it* I bought a few new summer tops in hope that it will see how cute they are and let me wear them.
I did about as good as I expected this semester, transferring to a new college for the new fall semester (y'know if I ever get up the courage and become less irritated over the whole process) so that'll be fun in a very i-hate-school-why-can't-i-just-work-oh-wait-no-working-for-you-without-a-degree sort of way.
Picked up 'Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell' by Susanna Clarke and 'Fire From Heaven' by Mary Renault. I know I *said* I wouldn't buy anymore books until I managed to deplete my TBR pile at least somewhat but... um, MARY RENAULT. God I love her. Plus I've been promising myself I would buy 'Fire From Heaven' for about three years now, ever since I picked up 'Funeral Games' and refused to read it until I'd read the other two books. I really really want 'The Bull From The Sea' as well because 'The King Must Die' is still my favorite. Also it would probably be bad to re-buy books that I already own because the vintage covers right now are so pretty yes? PRETTY. Also remind me again that it's very naughty of me to mock certain amazon reviews.
*ahem*
So yeah, I've been off with friends and doing summery things (when weather permits!) and discovering that even if I like darker rum I still can't drink that much of it. How's it been going for y'all?
Oh right watched both Star Trek (two times so far) and Wolverine. Liked them both for different reasons and am pleased that my movie experience has been going well so far this summer (CAN HP BE OUT NOW PLEASE???).
