You know what I get really tired of? People saying that there's more important things to worry about right now (i.e. the economy, war etc) than gay rights and how *dare* you keep continuing on insisting that your cause doesn't fall out of the public eye. Because you know it's not possible to worry about/put energy into more than one thing, which is why I take one college class per a semester you know and if I'm really feeling bold I might, might work at the same time.
Gays and the Military: A Bad Fit Yeah it's pretty much a thinly-disguised piece of homophobia but I like how they try to support their point with an article that talks about how it wouldn't be a big deal if Gays were open in the military.
Then again if the Gay ban was repealed my favorite way to stave off recruiters would be gone.
Inspired in part by the Marine recruiters at school today.
Gah, two more weeks and the semester from hell will be over. *sigh*
*goes and kicks Freud's phantom ass for stress relief*
Also I found out that my Psych Prof is an ex-Catholic priest (from Ireland! =D) I'm guessing it didn't work out when he mentioned how he dissuaded people from converting to Catholicism when they were getting married to a Catholic (his view was if you genuinely wanted to great but don't do it just to get married). People are so fascinating.
