How to FAIL in generalization 101

We Don't Need More Female Superheroes

Way to fail asshat.

Also Wonder Woman is not the only female superhero people can name, even casually I'm sure most people would manage to pull Supergirl and Batgirl out of their hats (yes not as famous as their male counterparts but you try competing with two of the biggest superhero names ever). Hell what about Jean Grey and Storm and Rouge and the whole bevy of X-Men ladies? There are so many more as well, hell I've known Mary Jane's name since I was a wee child and she's not even a superhero.

But that's not the point of this, the point is that the articles generalizations fail hardcore. Especially with the notion that the only female superhero that women are cosplaying as is Wonder Woman and even then they apparently have to get paid for it. Hear that aikei_chan? (Yes I know he puts an "there are exceptions to every rule" but fuck it's tacked on at the end like an after thought and he still manages to piss me off so I'm not giving a flying fuck, also all the women on my flist alone who cosplay, who read comics (American or Japanese), who will pick a movie based on what they like and not whether it's a chick flick or an action fest, who enjoy what used to be exclusively considered "guy" stuff are not the exception, hell we're the fucking rule).

This guy is making RTD look like a goddamn feminist. >(

ONE LAST THING "Quality movies like Sex and the City are all too rare" ...QUALITY? I... HOW CAN ONE MAN FAIL SO MUCH? *goes to beat something up*

And pet peeve, if you read the article he's responding to, there's a mention of "Even Bryan Singer, who was handed a whole bevy of kick-ass ladies with the first two X-Men movies, is targeted-- "he gave the ladies powers in the X-Men series, he just forgot the personalities." THE DIRECTOR DOES NOT WRITE THE SCRIPT, HE TRUSTS THE SCRIPTWRITER TO DO THEIR SHIT WELL KTHNXBAI, also they didn't have personalities? Just what movies were you watching?

suckage, comics, movie, fail
