Gonzo: My name is Charles Dickens.
Rizzo the Rat: And my name is Rizzo the Rat... wait a second! You're not Charles Dickens!
Gonzo: I am too!
Rizzo the Rat: No! A blue furry Charles Dickens who hangs out with a rat?
Gonzo: Absolutely!
Rizzo the Rat: Charles Dickens was a 19th Century novelist! A genius!
Gonzo: Oh, you're too kind.
It's still my favorite version ever. I've never actually liked the story itself all that much but The Muppet's did something... magical to it. Except for that one song, we don't talk about that one song. I remember being about ten and watching it with my family, including my brother (it was before he scampered off to Texas and barely showed his face again).
Gonzo: [whispering] Once again, I must remind you that the Marleys were dead, and decaying in their graves. That one thing you must remember, or nothing that follows will seem wondrous.
Rizzo the Rat: Why are you whispering?
Gonzo: It's for dramatic emphasis.
We put up our tree tonight. And it's sparkly and lovely and it most definitly puts me in the christmas mood. Not much else has been happening, other than I'm free for the rest of the year! Yes, finals are over and *thank god*. No more of that silly school stuff until mid-January. *glee*
As much as I love Muppet's Christmas Carol though my favorite christmas movie is White Christmas. Probably because the one thing that I associate with Christmas most, my favorite element is the songs. They can get me in the Christmas mood the fastest and leave me with such a wonderful feeling.
*happy sigh* Hell, I just love Christmas period. So tell me, what's your favorite part of Christmas, what do you have to have to make it Christmas?
*hands out hugs and cocoa*
ETA: No dreaming of a white Christmas for me. It's been snowing since early morning and it's showing no sign of stopping anytime soon.
