Holidays and all those days after
Hello Internets!
I am infact still alive. Amazingly enough. book_of_calm poked me on aim the other day and was like, maybe a once a month I am still alive post would be good. Whoops. XD
First off merry belated winter holiday! And early happy New Year. I had a very calm Christmas and will be spending New Years with cards_slash (I would be there now actually but I, uh, missed the shuttle that takes me three hours to the way less expensive airport (well as less expensive as an airport can ever be). That was a fun 3am phone call to make. But I sent her snow for Christmas so it sorta evens out >>).
This year was something else for me. There was a huge amount of stress but a huge amount of joy as well. I finally found a decent place to live (at a great price as well) and after I get back I'll be moving in there. And I'm really hoping once I get settled in there I'm going to get a lot more of interest back in- well a lot of things. It's funny how stress dictates (for me) my enjoyment in things, it was an interesting experience in a way.
But beyond all that, I think my biggest wish for next year is peace. For me certainly but for anyone else on my flist who could use a moment of it as well. New Years is exciting for me because despite it just being the year rolling over it just feels like the time for something new, that anything could happen and might just.
Also on a side note Christmas Special! That was utterly fantastic. I watched it with Dad and he now wants to watch more, which is pretty exciting. I'm starting him with 11's season because not only is it kind of a restart of the mythos in a way, 11 is also one of my very favorite doctors. I love his compassion and love and friendship he expresses with his companions. So lovely to watch.
