Southern Vampire Mysteries: Dead Until Dark
Okay so this isn't really a review but as I finished it last night (the internet was really boring and everyone was either asleep or working so turned it off and GASP read something >>) there are a few things I had to say, mainly in comparison to the Season 1 True Blood characters.
1. Okay Sookie? Either TV or Book incarnation I love her. Absolutely adore her, she's practical, strong and not afraid to go wtf, back off. I possibly love book Sookie a bit more just for her first scene with Bill where she's all YAY FIGHT and LOL BILL. It's so awesome.
2. Book Bill.... is kind of an ass. Granted TV Bill may be as well but I haven't noticed it as much? Although book Bill has 1)sandals 2) a Grateful Dead T-shirt and 3) IS AN INVESTIGATOR? o.o Well I certainly wasn't expecting that.
3. I MISS TARA. I knew in the books that she was white and in them less BUT SHE DIDN'T SHOW UP AT ALL IN THE FIRST ONE AND I MISS HER AWESOME. :(((((( At least Lafayette was still there and fabulous.
4. Nobody has a cellphone... in 2001. I'm so glad the series is like PFT, no here Eric start texting.
5. They cut out the floating. THANK GOD. The end bit with Eric and the moon? SO DAMN CHEESY AND NOT IN THE WAY I LIKE.
In conclusion:
WHY THE HELL HASN'T BUBBA SHOWN UP IN THE SERIES? BEST. CHARACTER. EVER.
Does anyone know where to get True Blood icons? I need a God Hates Fangs one and Tara and Lafayette and... Yeah >>
