Huh?

There's something fishy about this item from today's Column 8:

Here's one of those Christmas stories that just make you feel good, from a reader who identifies herself only as Cara, of Westleigh: "I disembarked a choppy boat after a Christmas party on Friday, December 19, and made my way into the city. I wandered around for a good 35 minutes when I realised I didn't know where I was. I saw a florist, where I asked where the train station was, and a small, beautiful voice said, 'Where are you headed?' I turned and saw a lovely older lady. I said, 'I'm trying to get home. I want to catch a train to Hornsby.' She said, 'Wrong way. You want St James station. Follow me.' We made small talk - not really small talk, but the kind of talk where you feel that you are definitely not alone. We boarded the train, but there were no seats together, so I sat in front of my new companion. As we drew closer to Lindfield, my friend passed me and patted me on the shoulder. We exchanged thank yous, but what I neglected to say to the kind lady was merry Christmas. So to the lovely helpful lady whose daughter needs a job, please reply to Column 8 - I can help." If she read this and contacts us, Cara, we'll put you in touch.

First of all, you can't get a train to Hornsby from St James station. They could have changed at Wynyard or Central, but there's no mention of it. Second, wouldn't she have disembarked at, most likely, Circular Quay? Great big whacking station there too - again, no trains to Hornsby, but she could have asked directions.

I know what I have to do to get into column 8 now - just make shit up!
