This story has broken my heart. That's not a bad thing. That just shows how good of a job you did. I mean, wow. I'm actually finding it a little hard to write a decent review of this because some part of me just wants to go off and cry somewhere

Thank you! I do have an alarming tendency to break hearts, or so I'm told. :/ I tried for a couple of weeks to write fluff for this prompt (because it calls for it, and I almost never write fluff) but I just couldn't make it work with the Doctor or River. So everyone got angst, but, I hope, with some hope tacked onto the end.
