This is great. I really like that this has a distinct sci-fi feel to it. I know that can sound silly because it's obviously a fanfic for a scifi show, but even then, the fanfic doesn't always have that new-perspective pull that scifi can give you. This one does. I loved the bit about this colony (the blue temple that suddenly appeared!) and about the first word out of your mother's mouth being your name. A girl named Sorry. And then how you had the Doctor getting lost in timelines. To some extent, it makes me wonder if all Time Lords have to go insane in the end because they've become involved in so much that there are so many timelines going through their head, they just get lost in the end. Interesting. You really had me thinking with this one and I love that. Also, I love where you went with Dark!Doctor, made dark not because he's suddenly gone bad in his tendencies but because of the dark outcomes of essentially what he is and what he does. A wonderful holiday present! Thanks for posting it. I hope you have a great day after you ( ... )

Thank you very much! I'm so glad you liked it--I was really worried that it would be so incompressible as to be unenjoyable, so it's nice to hear otherwise! Happy Holidays!

Ooh, so chilling and so, so good! As always, I adore your dark!Doctor fics. I hope I've said it before, but your young!River and your alien planets are always epically fab. Loved the tense changes and the mind-speak, too.

"Not a man precisely," he said cheerfully, and she worried over whether he could read minds. "Bit of an alien, I'm afraid. Look awfully human though, don't I? Or maybe you look Time Lord, hard to say. We did come first."
I could hear him say this. Plus this line's awesome. <3
