~I'm Dreaming of... Somethiiiiing~
So, real life.
Well, I'm back at work after taking the latter part of the semester off, which is surprisingly nice (though exhausting because my arm muscles have gone all shriveled and weak again, sigh). Also, yesterday I worked with W (the manager, who I at least don't dislike) and J and the new girl, V, who is awesome. Also, W gave me 7 more hours this week and apparently has decided that even if I'm still hopelessly scatterbrained, I've improved enough to be put on shift to make up for Useless New Boy (who I met briefly on Sunday) being on shift with another new guy. Also, because it's Christmas week we've mostly had three people to close, which makes everything so much easier. Though I'll probably end up taking Useless New Guy's phone and shuffling him into the back to do dishes, from the sound of things.
Ummmm, yes, that's pretty much how boring my life is right now. Was harassed by an older man who was sweet but very deaf and rather grumpy, because people can never read my lips. I talk really, really fast, and have difficulty slowing down. Also a woman who wondered around the deli department (it's large) talking on her cell for fifteen minutes before coming over and demanding sandwich meat even though I had clearly already closed the slicers. I informed her with some glee that we were closed. She was not thrilled. Also, this idiot guy that has an alarming tendency to follow me around (bordering on stalking) somehow managed to show up on my first day back at work in months. I am not sure how he managed to do this, but I'm going to start taking my pepper spray to work with me despite it being in a considerably nicer part of town than I'm living in.
I am not sure my general christmas gift fic is going to be finished by Christmas, though. :( I've still got to get gifts for, well, everyone in my family and I only have Wednesday off this week. Argh.
