Her being buddies with Spider-Man was the best. And Spider-Man being a little bit scared of her, because she is just that tough. :P And also the comic being like, HECK YEAH, we're ladies who are tough and kind of grouchy and DREAM ABOUT FLYING, excuse you if you have problems with that.

Yesssssssssssss.

I am aware that her primary ship is with Jessica and I support all the femslash but tbh

I really just want her to hook up with Rhodey. :|

I am the worst at shipping XD

I just want Carol's bff Steve to be trying to slip out of a party only Carol is making him stay because if she's gotta be here he's gotta be here so he like, disappears for a bit and then comes back with Rhodey and just kind of shoves Rhodey at her and is like "This is Rhodey he likes planes too" and she'd be like "I dated Tony, Steve" and Steve would be like "Okay so you know each other great bye!" and then they bond over having complete morons for bffs and Rhodey asks her out for coffee and they live happily ever after idk.

Not that, you know, I put much thought into it.

Or anything.

I like this story. Captain America: awkward matchmaker for the ages. :P

Also I followed you on Tumblr just now but my username doesn't match the one I have here. I am maia-saura over there.

Neat :DDD
I will follow you back at once~

(Actually my shipping Carol/Rhodey came from the Ultron AU I was writing before Marvel started doing it FOR me and it was epic and ridiculous)

Wait, what? What is an Ultron AU and is Marvel really such a happy shiny fandom that THEY ANTICIPATE THE THINGS YOU WANT AND MAKE THEM FOR YOU?

AS FAR AS I CAN TELL YES THEY ARE JUST. THAT. SHINY.

So Ultron is this robot that Hank Pym/Ant Man created and from what I gather it went crazy and like destroyed a bunch of stuff and nearly took over the world but of course the Avengers managed to stop it and save the day.

Age of Ultron (which has three issues out now, I believe? Maybe only 2?) is, as far as I can tell, a canon-AU where Ultron takes over the world and they're scrambling to save the day and the entire planet is wrecked BUT THEY'RE GONNA FIND A WAY TO FIX IT.

Basically it is flawless and wonderful and the entire first issue is pretty much Clint being gloriously Clinty and ~saving the day (or at least Peter Parker) and it is extremely close to the AU I was working on ENTIRELY INDEPENDENTLY because I did not know this was a thing until about two weeks before issue 1 came out and just

Yeah.

Marvel is totally writing my fanfic for me idk why I would ever reconsider and return to DC. XD

This becoming a more and more convincing argument for why I should catch up on various Marvel things I have tried out. Especially since I am relatively certain that the only comics DC publishes anymore are Batwoman and Li'l Gotham. What's this? They put out way more comics than that, and currently it is the month of crying about Robin? This seems like a silly way to run a company, I don't think anyone would do that....

Ahahaha right. I butted in on a conversation yesterday between two guys at the comic store wondering what the fuck was going on with DC because people are apparently quitting right and left and everyone hates everything they're doing etc. etc.

Hahaha really? I can't ever tell if it's as bad as I think, or if the target demographic (of dudes, or casual fans, or whoever that actually is) is enjoying these shenanigans. Also, I don't have a baseline for how unhappy comics fans are on a regular basis since I didn't read very much until after the reboot had already happened.

TBH I couldn't tell you, I was into DC in a pretty small way and not even remotely into the fandom.
